Analysis of "Trust" by Tim Metty

The book, "Trust" by Tim Metty, is a thrilling book that leads you to a new path with every page turn, and it is a very good book to read.

What the text says is that Nicholas and his friends are searching for the fourth Thusian needed to compleate "The Seven" and they go on a search to find the last Thusian they need to complete "The Seven." This is the main conflict in the story, and they go on a journey to eventually find out who is the fourth Thusian that they need to help them with getting balance between them and the "Seekers"

They find other people who they think are those who they are looking for, and they try  to see if they would be them by watching them. During this, Riley finds out that Bryce is a Thusian, as he is able to avoid getting injured by his dad trying to hurt him. After that, they are convinced he is the fourth. This shows the results of them trying to find the last Thusian, and they stop their search for them.

After that, Nicholas tries to make sure he is a Thusian, and he figures out that ultimately, Nicholas is the fourth, and Bryce is someone else, but not who they are looking four. The third is taken place by Cora, who had gotten her talents on the day of the earthquake. This shows a turning point in the story, as something else major has taken place.

Finally, during a fire caused by Bryce at their school, Bryce reveals to Nicholas that he is a seeker and his dad is Xavier. He and Nicholas fight each other, which results in Bryce's death. After that, Nicholas and his friends decide that they have to leave the town and run away from Xavier. This shows the climax and the resolution of the story.

Theme and Summary of "Trust" by Tim Metty.

What I think the Theme of "Trust" by Tim Metty is about is to not give up on a goal, and do whatever you can to achieve it, even if the goal is closer than you think.

This starts becoming more evident during the text when Nicholas, Cora, Riley and Genevine go on their hunt for the fourth Thusian, and they have to accomplish tasks to figure out who the fourth Thusian is. They keep going along and watch out for people who may be the fourth, but they don't realize who the fourth is until Nicholas discovers the truth.

A summary of the part where Nicholas Discovers he is the fourth, and Cora is the third, is:

Nicholas goes to the Thusian vault to see if Bryce is a Thusian, and is greeted by the gatekeeper. He asks Nicholas why he is there. Nicholas explains he is coming to check out the vaults and see if Bryce is a Thusian. The keeper explains to Nicholas that he knows Bryce, and Genevine's family. Nicholas didn't ask him about Genevine, and he asks why. So, the keeper explains to Nicholas that he is one of the keepers that the Council wanted to kill off. So, this eventually leads up to him saying that Cora is the third, as she realized her talents on the day of the Earthquake, and Nicholas is the fourth Thusian they have been looking for all along.

Reading Skills in "Trust" by Tim Metty

What I predict to happen next in "Trust" by Tim Metty is that Nicholas, Riley and Genevieve will find the fourth Thusian they need, who is most likely Bryce, and be able to train to defeat Xavier and the seekers. Why are they (the Seekers) trying to kill the four anyway? Did something happen between the two of them in the past? What went wrong between the two groups?
I can make text to world connections with this book. Like, wars between countries, people being rivals, and things like that.
Another connection is text to text, is with "I am number four." In that book, there are nine people trying to connect with each other, and there are other people trying to kill those nine people off before they all meet with each other an try to defeat them.
It's kind of hard to make a text to self connection with this book, but I could think of it as trying to do something before other people do something that could hinder me from doing that task before I can do it.

Characters in "Trust" by Tim Metty

The main character in "Trust" by Tim Metty is Nicholas Keller. He is a teenager at Winsor High School in Indiana, and he is a Thusian, a type of person who is able to do amazing things to help other people, even if he has to sacrifice himself to save people's lives. He is a fully developed character and shows many traits, like his emotions, thoughts, and words. The book is written in his perspective.

There are other characters in the book, like Ellie, Cora, Riley and Genevieve. Ellie is Nicholas's girlfriend and she is being considered to be "the fourth" Thusian that Riley and Genevieve have been looking for, along with Nicholas. She is a round character and she is a major character in the book. You can see her emotions through Nicholas's perspective. Cora is Nicholas's Aunt, and has been protecting Nicholas ever since he has realized his Thusian powers during a major earthquake that happened in the Cincinnati area six years before the events in the book take place. She is also a Thusian and she is a round character, and  is a minor role in this book. You can see her emotions through Nicholas as well. Riley and Genevieve are two other Thusians that are trying to find Nicholas and "the fourth" to be able to defeat the "Seekers," who are trying to kill all four of them. They are both round characters, and you can see their emotions through Nicholas.

"Trust" by Tim Metty

The book I am currently reading is "Trust," by Tim Metty. It is the second book in his "Hero Chronicles" series.
The theme of this book is to protect what you care about, while trying to accomplish a great task. This is evident in the book, because the Main character, Nicholas Keller, who has recently learned that he is supposed to do whatever he can to stop the "Seekers," who are the enemies of his people, the "Thusians." He has been searching for the 4th Thusian needed to stop the Seeker's from killing more people, and has been found by two other Thisians, and they are determined to find the 4th needed to stop the Seekers, and Nicholas is tasked with finding the fourth, who he strongly suspects is his girlfriend, Ellie, but he thinks it could be multiple people from his school.
The complex characters in this book are Nicholas, Ellie, Nicholas's aunt, Cora, and Nicholas's next door neighbors, who are the Thusians who have been hunting Nicholas and the fourth Thusian down, so they can stop the Seekers. All of these characters a fully developed, with the exception of Cora, who was a main character in the first book, "Secrets."
The text structure is a structure based on the past book, and looks like the standard structure for a book. It has many elements of characterization, diction, and it is written mainly in first person.

I would recomend reading the first book to get more of a knowledge of the background of this book.
A link to the article about the first book in the series, and for more of a background of this book is http://www.amazon.com/Secrets-Hero-Chronicles-Volume-ebook/dp/B009V7FU2G

This book makes text to text connections to books like I am number four, because it is about people coming together to stop a force that is trying to harm them and what they care about.
I think that the authors opinion of the theme would be to never give up on something you are trying to accomplish.
